Kalajoki Panorama – Church and Havula Manor

This bus tour will take you from the port of Kalajoki to the centre and  old town as well as to Hiekkasärkät – Sand Dunes area, our main tourism resort. Your local guide will take you from the Stone Age to modern days as you will hear stories about this maritime little town as well as special events and intriguing persons in its history. We will pass important places and buildings, such as the 7th church of Kalajoki, the old marketplace of Plassi, Havula Manor, the new and modern school of 1000 students and most importantly the famous sand dunes of Kalajoki. During this trip we introduce you to the Church of Kalajoki and its surroundings. Many valuable paintings, such as the altarpiece, glass work and candle holders are unique, and all have an interesting story to tell. We also stop by the Havula Manor. Havula Manor is situated in the old town of Kalajoki, called Plassi. The manor is unique because many of the furniture and personal items of Santaholma family can still be seen in the household.
